Objective

To bring a level of safety awareness to the candidates concerning hazards associated with their work.

Contents

The topics covered during this training are:

• Introduction to OSHA
• Fall protection
• Electrical
• Caught in/between personal protective and lifesaving equipment
• Health hazards in construction (including hazard communication)
• Stairways and ladders
• Materials handling, storage, use and disposal
• Tools – hand and power
• Scaffolds
• Cranes, derricks, hoists, elevators, & conveyors
• Excavations

Exam

The candidate will be required to score a minimum competency of 70% on a written exam.

To receive a course completion card, the student must attend the entire class and complete all class requirements, including all requisite topics and the minimum number of contact hours.
